After extensive testing I have concluded that the strider fly crashes the server. If a player is flying and gets killed there is a chance it will crash the server. It will not happen every time and in some cases may be delayed for a few seconds after death.

I have tested this by having mutiple players fly into wards dropped by any race. IF they are killed by the ward it will crash most of the time. No other flying races that I have will crash under these conditions only the strider.

I also tested killing it with locus while it was flying and it did crash there too however it was delayed a few seconds and the crash was much less common than when wards were used.

Figured it out. It is an engine crash related to users not having a valid weapon selected when they die. This is why it seems random.

using this code:

EquipPlayerWeapon(client, knife);

will fix the problem if placed right before you restrict weapons. Note that this glitch should occur on any race that restricts weapons and the player has the glitch where they can see a weapon they do not have. After adding this code I have not been able to get it to crash, we have 5 people sitting there tying every combination of deaths and when this code is added the server no longer crashes.

Yea, the problem is an engine related glitch that from the players perspective is known as the left handed weapon glitch or the fake gun glitch.

When a weapon is taken from a player the engine does not force them to select a valid weapon (which the code provided above does) and as a result the player will still hold in their hand a "phantom gun". When killed while holding a phantom gun (usually when killed by any type of ward) the server has a chance to crash. It does not happen 100% of the time but it has a pretty good chance. The server can also crash if they are just killed in general while holding a phantom gun however the odds are much lower (it was very hard to reproduce that crash but we got it to happen). When the same players where presented with the same conditions while holding a knife the crashes never occurred. Since forcing players to select the knife there has been no crashes ever with extensive testing and now a full live release.

Previously this code was believed to only be used as a comedic effect but clearly players need to at all times have a valid weapon entity selected or risk a crash. Some conditions I know that can still present this glitch include:

Note that anyone using the code above should also check if it is a valid entity this is encase the program laggs or somehow does not get the value correctly as such a command execution could result in a crash. Lastly I have heard that a player may end up selecting c4 instead of knife however this does not make sense as the hard code slot for c4 is 3. However if true a simple check could be added to correct this.

Do you have the translation file? Have you made any changes to this race?

You could just remove that line or reprogram it not to use a translation file.

Ну у Панорама первое умение не работает потому что я не знаю как найти offset для высоты шага..... Умение должно делать так что ты можешь забираться например на ящик не прыгая а просто идя на него.... Ну то есть ты просто идешь и сразу оказываешься на ящике.....

in regards to the weapon restrict crash, I have purposely given player item that is restricted and I do NOT crash...
I test this quite a few times to make sure and no crash ever jsut a heads up it mgiht be you.

We also dont have left hand glitch try adding a short delay to giving weapon and see if it helps

Dean Winchester ultimate "Demon Trap" is not working correctly (there is no tele) and sometime causes client crash.
In Terran Space Marine when you buy kevlar your ammo in m4 resets to 30. To bypass this you need to drop m4 buy kevlar and pick it up - then clip ammo is 200.

It will cause crashes due to the left hand glitch. You must remove weapons cleanly and ensure the player does not have one before giving them one. In other words it needs to not only take the weapons away correctly first but also needs to do so again before giving them back. All races that remove or give weapons are effected, some more than others. If you use the code from rev 70 onward you get access to the native needed to remove them correctly.

Therefore all the races that remove weapons will need to be updated when the next beta is released to prevent this glitch.

It mustnt tele you or your enemy. Ultimate just make dean and his enemy black-coloured. And it doesnt crush our (alex6zik's too) server.

It could cause crash if it use w3s version with old UTIL_Remove() function
