[Packaged Race] Sacred Warrior

Currently an Alpha release. Not very refined/tested, but works. Original DOTA hero


INNER VITALITY

Passively recover HP. When you are below 40% HP you gain twice as much HP.

Level 1: 1 HP each second
Level 2: 2 HP each second
Level 3: 3 HP each second
Level 4: 4 HP each second


BURNING SPEAR

(Ability) When activated you lose HP, but set enemys ablaze with your attacks. Enemys you hit will lose HP over time. If you hit them again you can stack your spears for additional damage. While this skill is activated Inner Vitality does not work. If you deactivate this skill after setting someone ablaze they will stop losing HP. If you keep attacking your enemy, the time will not extend or reset. After 3 seconds, the stacks will be completly reset

Level 1: 1 damage a second, stacks for 1x multiplier.
Level 2: 2 damage a second, stacks for 2x multiplier.
Level 3: 3 damage a second, stacks for 2x multiplier.
Level 4: 4 damage a second, stacks for 3x multiplier.


BERSERKERS BLOOD

You passively gain ASPD and damage as you lose more and more health. (Each 7% you become stronger)

Level 1: 0.5% damage and 1% ASPD per 7% HP lost
Level 2: 1% damage and 2% ASPD per 7% HP lost
Level 3: 1.5% damage and 3% ASPD per 7% HP lost
Level 4: 2% damage and 4% ASPD per 7% HP lost


LIFE BREAK

Pay a great deal of your HP to deal damage to the nearest enemy.

Level 1: Pay 75% to do 25% damage
Level 2: Pay 65% to do 35% damage
Level 3: Pay 55% to do 45% damage
Level 4: Pay 40% to do 60% damage


Current concerns/todos:
  • Too strong as Pyro. You only need to set someone on fire and Burning Spear will eat them alive
  • Add cvars

Changelog
  • Nerfed ASPD buff
  • Reduced amount of HP consumed by Life Break on low levels, increased damage on low levels
  • Changed Burning Spear not to extend the time when you rehit the target. The amount of stacks is still increased
       -> If you hit someone multiple times they take high damage, if you just land a stray bullet they won't receive much damage
  • Did code cleanup, commented the code. Made a lot of unnecessary float declarations integer
  • Redid description to include technical values and better descriptions

why is it OP for pyro? or heavy for that matter?

Before adding the self damage from burning spear I could kill a full HP Scout by setting him on fire and letting Burning Spear do the rest. I'm not quite sure how it plays out now, since I haven't been able to do some proper testing with the newest version yet. Hopefully I'll get around to it tomorrow and try this race with some bots.

each time the victim gets damage, he gets extra damage from burning spear?
then heavy would also take down someone quickly?

Burning Spear is like Blood Crazy of Blood Hunter. If you hit someone while you have it activated, they get hit for 4 damage each second for 3 seconds. When you hit them again this goes up to 8 damage/12 damage a second. Hitting them again will reset the timer every time. So you're efficiently adding 12 damage to each attack (And a Pyro setting someone on fire will keep retriggering this effect...).

Also when you activate Burning Spear, Inner Vitality gets turned off, so you don't recover HP any more. Each second while Burning Spear is activated you lose 5% of your max HP. If you deactivate Burning Spear, none of your victims will take damage anymore.

u should put these detailed skill discriptions in ur first post, including technical numbers and percentages
we can fix pyro and other classes with chance modifier

Updated. Will look into adding chance modifiers on Burning Spear trigger after I test some more.

Updated with new version. I did these tweaks at school and haven't tested them yet, but I'll get around to that later.

Updated with an even newer version I got to playtest. Not as overpowered anymore, actually feels kinda balanced. It's a pretty tricky race, having to balance between low health and great buffs and high health and no buffs.

I feel the damage buff is fine. Remember, you have to lose a great deal of HP before these buffs really start to show. When you're running around with 10 HP shooting clip after clip you will most likely become the prime target of the enemys, and seeing how a single stray bullet can kill you you will most likely not be standing long. Also with Inner Vitality you have a constant regeneration that kinda works against you, as it removes your buffs.

Oops, you're correct. I will add that next version bundled with some other stuff.

Good to hear, I'm always eager to hear comments from a larger playerbase as I don't have the means to do large public tests. So if your community gives you any feedback, be it good or negative let me know  :D
